PCs connected to Cisco IP Phones losing network connectivity.
Update - ITS is continuing to troubleshoot this issue with support teams from our network and telephony vendors.

Users connected to the campus network via a wired connection through a Cisco VoIP telephone's pass-through connection may experience connectivity issues. Current workarounds for affected devices are bypassing the phone and directly connecting a device to a dedicated wall jack (data port), or using Wi-Fi instead if available.

Scheduled - RFC 42677: Network Backbone at PKI will have reduced performance during maintenance. Direct impact: Outage for the HCC at PKI and the NU Foundation office in Omaha. Possible impact: Many locations will lose their connection redundancy. ITS will be replacing the WAN router at PKI during this time.

Monitoring - We've confirmed the deployments of our fixes have completed and users can update to the latest Microsoft 365 Office clients to receive the fix and resolve impact. We're monitoring service health telemetry to confirm users are updating to the latest client and prompts are reducing as expected.

eduroam configuration update
Resolved - We continue to see expected trends in eduroam authentications. Users who continue to have trouble connecting to the wireless network should consult the knowledge base article referenced previously or consult their IT support team.

Monitoring - eduroam was reconfigured on the NU System campuses to no longer accept short usernames. This was done to support roaming at other institutions, where eduroam requires users to authenticate with a fully qualified username (…@nebraska.edu, …@unl.edu, …@unomaha.edu, or …@unk.edu).

We highly recommend using the assisted device configuration utility available here: https://go.unl.edu/eduroam.

Note: Your fully qualified username will typically be identical to your campus email address, unless you use an email alias.
